Admission to Concord Magnet School K-8 is by Lottery. All children entering grades kindergarten through 6th* and residing in Norwalk, CT are eligible to apply. The Lottery is conducted by the Norwalk Public School District.
ELEMENTARY
Norwalk Public Schools will host an Elementary School Choice Fair on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Cranbury Elementary School, 10 Knowalot Lane, Norwalk, CT 06851. The Fair will run from 6:00-8:00 pm in the school cafeteria. The Elementary Lottery application period opens on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 and will close on Friday, March 1, 2024. Concord Magnet will host an evening information session on Wednesday, February 7 at 6:00 pm in the school cafeteria. Our evening will include information on our program, a question/answer session, and a school tour. Reservations are not required. This is the only evening meeting planned before the lottery drawing.
Concord Magnet is also hosting three daytime tours. Dates and times are listed below. As space is limited, reservations are required. To make a reservation, please contact CMS Parent Coordinator Terry Lakin at lakint@norwalkps.org. Only group tours are available.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
Norwalk Public Schools conducts a Middle School Choice Lottery for all Norwalk rising 6th graders. Each of Norwalk’s Middle Schools have a specific focus and parents opt to apply to any of the choices, even if it is not their feeder middle School. Parents wishing to have their children attend their district middle school do not need to apply to the lottery. *The Elementary School Choice and Middle School Lotteries do not accept applications for Concord Magnet grades 7 & 8. Parents interested in having their children attend Concord Magnet 7th or 8th grade must email CMS Principal Medard Thomas (thomasm@norwalkps.org) or Assistant Principal Jennifer Scanlan (scanlanj@norwalkps.org) by email.
