ADMISSION TO CONCORD MAGNET K-8

Admission to Concord Magnet School K-8 is by Lottery. All children entering grades kindergarten through 6th* and residing in Norwalk, CT are eligible to apply. The Lottery is conducted by the Norwalk Public School District.

ELEMENTARY

Norwalk Public Schools will host an Elementary School Choice Fair on Thursday, January 29 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the new South Norwalk Elementary School, 1 Meadow Street Ext. The 2026 Lottery Application Period opens on Thursday, January 29, 2026 and closes on Thursday, March 2. The Lottery drawing will take place on Thursday, March 10, 2026. Concord Magnet will host an evening information session and weekly tours during the application period. Dates will be published in early January, 2026. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Norwalk Public Schools conducts a Middle School Choice Lottery for all Norwalk rising 6^th graders. Each of Norwalk’s Middle Schools have a specific focus and parents have the option to apply to any of the choices, even if it is not their feeder middle School. Parents wishing to have their children attend their home district middle school do not need to apply to the lottery. The Lottery Application Period runs from October 22 through December 5. The Elementary School Choice and Middle School Lotteries do not accept applications for Concord Magnet grades 7 & 8.
