ADMISSION TO CONCORD MAGNET K-8

Admission to Concord Magnet School K-8 is by Lottery. All children entering grades kindergarten through 6th* and residing in Norwalk, CT are eligible to apply. The Lottery is conducted by the Norwalk Public School District. Lotteries for 2026/27 enrollment have been completed.

ELEMENTARY

At this time, admission to Concord Magnet K-8 is now closed. Norwalk Public Schools held it's annual Elementary School Choice Lottery in April, 2026 for 2026/27 enrollment.

Information for the 2027/28 school year lottery, will be posted when dates are availalbe. During the lottery period CMS offers evening information sessions as well as daytime tours.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Norwalk Public Schools conducts a Middle School Choice Lottery for all Norwalk rising 6^th graders. Each of Norwalk’s Middle Schools have a specific focus and parents have the option to apply to any of the choices, even if it is not their feeder middle School. Parents wishing to have their children attend their home district middle school do not need to apply to the lottery. The Middle School Lottery Application Period traditionally runs from through December. This year's Lottery drawing will took place on December 15, 2025. The Elementary School Choice and Middle School Lotteries do not accept applications for Concord Magnet grades 7 & 8. Parents interested in having their children attend Concord Magnet 7^th or 8^th grade must email CMS Principal Medard Thomas (thomasm@norwalkps.org) or Assistant Principal Jennifer Scanlan (scanlanj@norwalkps.org) by email.
