Admission to CONCORD MAGNET K-8

Admission to Concord Magnet School K-8 is by Lottery. All children entering grades kindergarten through 5th* and residing in Norwalk, CT are eligible to apply. The Lottery is conducted by the Norwalk Public School District. The District will host an Elementary School Choice Fair on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Concord Magnet K-8, 21 Hunter’s Lane, Norwalk, CT 06850. The Fair will run from 6:00-8:00 pm in the school cafeteria. (Snow Date is Thursday, February 9, 2023.) Elementary Lottery application opened on Thursday, February 2 and will close on Thursday, February 16. New for the 2023/24 School Year, Norwalk Public Schools has conducted a Middle School Choice Lottery for all Norwalk rising 6^th graders. Each of Norwalk’s Middle Schools have a specific focus and parents opt to apply to any of the choices, even if it is not their feeder middle School. Parents wishing to have their children attend their district middle school do not need to apply to the lottery. The Lottery for the 6^th Grade Middle School Choice was drawn on December 14, 2022. *The Elementary School Choice Lottery does not accept applications for Concord Magnet grades 7 & 8. Parents interested in having their children attend Concord Magnet 7^th or 8^th grade must contact CMS Principal Medard Thomas directly by email (only) thomasm@norwalkps.org.
