Sweet Treats for the Open Door Shelter

Sweet Treats for the Open Door Shelter
Terry Lakin

On Friday, December 8, Concord Magnet K-8 Fourth Graders decorated candy bar snowmen that were donated to the Open Door Shelter in Norwalk, CT. The snowman were made from candy bars and were donned with hats fashioned from pairs of gloves. The Director of Community Relations at Open Door said the snowmen were "both super practical and SO CUTE for the holidays!" CMS Fourth Graders enjoyed creating the snowmen for those in need at the shelter and loved having their parents help with this giving project. This project was a collaborative effort of fourth grade staff, students, and families. All materials were generously donated by the Fourth Grade families.
