CMS K-8 Lottery Information

for Norwalk parents interested in learning more about CMS’ progressive program
and the lottery admission process.
Five virtual information sessions are planned. Three sessions will be presented in
English and two in Spanish. (Due to the pandemic, only virtual meetings will be held, there will not be any in-person sessions or guided tours.)
MEETING DATES AND TIMES:
English Meetings:
Thursday, February 4, 7:00-8:00 pm (FULL)
Thursday, February 25, 7:00-8:00 pm
Wednesday, March 10, 6:30-7:30 pm
Spanish Meetings:
Wednesday, February 24, 7:00-8:00 pm
Tuesday, March 2, 7:00-8:00 pm
Please Note: In order to receive a lottery application, parents/guardians are
required to attend an information session. We feel it is only after learning about
the CMS program can a parent/guardian make an informed decision about applying
to CMS. If you attended an information meeting or guided tour last year, you do
not need to attend another meeting. Please email Terry Lakin at
lakint@norwalkps.org to request an application.
If you applied to last year's lottery, you do not need to attend a meeting this year. Please email Terry Lakin at lakint@norwalkps.org to confirm and receive an application.
Reservations are required for information sessions. To make a reservation for one
of the English sessions, please email Terry Lakin, CMS Lottery Coordinator, at
lakint@norwalkps.org. For Spanish sessions, please email Juliana Nunez-Smith,
CMS Hispanic Parent Liaison, at nunezsmithn@norwalkps.org. In your email,
please include your name and the meeting date you are requesting.
You will receive a meeting confirmation email. In addition your will receive an email containing meeting details
as well as program and lottery information packets. We request parents review this information and prepare questions
before the meeting as our time is limited.
Due to restrictions caused by the pandemic, lottery applications and all
correspondence will be electronic. Lottery applications will be emailed to all
meeting participants following the meeting. The application, in google form format,
may be submitted immediately upon completion.
Deadline for Lottery applications is Friday, March 12, 2021. The lottery will be drawn
on Thursday, March 25, 2021.
